However, with so many different flavors, styles, sizes, and embellishments to choose from, picking out the right cake for your big day can be a little intimidating. Don’t worry — we are here to help! One of the questions we get asked most often is: Do I need to have a slice of cake for each person on my guest list? Well, we asked the experts at Daughters Baking what they tell their brides during their initial cake consultation.

The ladies at Daughters Baking recommend to plan on enough cake for approximately 80% of the number of wedding guests you expect to attend. We’ve found that nearly 20% of wedding guests won’t eat wedding cake either due to dietary restrictions or personal preferences. Another consideration is whether a groom’s cake will be offered. However, we are seeing more and more guests wanting to try BOTH cakes!
